£29,650, 35 Hours Monday – Friday (9am -5pm), 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

The Corporate and Professional Services departments are the cornerstone of the University. They each provide essential and valuable support to both each other and the Academic departments, helping the University to function in the most efficient and productive way, ensuring that the students’ experience is second to none.

Registry Officer

The Registry Officer plays a key role within the Registry team, supporting the student lifecycle from enrolment through to examinations and graduation. The role covers a range of Registry activities, with a primary focus on supporting taught and research examinations. As a first point of contact for students and staff, the postholder will deliver high-quality administrative support, maintain accurate student records, and support exam boards and key academic events in line with University policies and regulations.

We are seeking an organised, reliable, and approachable individual with strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, able to manage a varied workload in a busy environment and demonstrate a strong awareness of data integrity and the importance of accurate student data. Experience in student administration or a similar role within a busy administrative environment is essential. Experience in higher education and confidence in using IT systems and learning new software are desirable.

About the Role

As a Registry Officer, you will:

  • Maintain accurate and complete student records, including managing progression updates such as results, transfers, withdrawals, and suspensions.
  • Support the organisation and delivery of exam boards, including result processing and including issuing award documentation.
  • Support the administration of taught examinations and research degree examinations, including organising thesis submissions and coordinating viva voce arrangements
  • Support current students and alumni with requests for official letters and documentation, including the processing and issuance of replacement award certificates and transcripts
  • Respond to routine student and staff enquiries, providing clear guidance on Registry processes and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Academic Services to support key academic events and ensure effective service delivery.
